We are proud to say that the Floreo community has made a powerful impact this year. Despite the challenges and uncertainty of the pandemic, we celebrate our creative, innovative Coaches: over 300 of them, including educators, therapists, and family members in 19 countries around the world who delivered Floreo sessions to their Learners during 2021. Together, that group of Coaches used more than 16,000 Floreo lessons -- both in-person and via telehealth -- to make a difference in the outcomes and lives of over 800 Learners.

For many, 2021 is certainly going to be remembered as a year for the record books, and that's certainly the case for us! Despite the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, we are proud that our talented (and fully remote!) team completed an app redesign, launched the Floreo portal to help our customers better track their Learners' Floreo activity, designed our recommendations tool to help find the most applicable lessons for each Learner, and released new skill categories to address skills related to safety, impulse control, focusing, emotional regulation, and interactions in the community and school settings.

We are grateful to you for your kind words of support, suggestions, and ideas. We are looking forward to 2022 with optimism and excitement as we continue to improve and enhance the Floreo experience and expand the breadth of our evidence-based content.

Our many lesson settings provide your Learner with the opportunity to practice tons of different skills in engaging and diverse environments with many different characters. Your Learner can visit the park, cafeteria, classroom, grocery store, or a street scene from the comfort of your classroom, home, or clinic.

As we head into the holiday season and all the (hopefully fun!) chaos that entails, help keep your Learner classroom ready by playing Floreo! Our School Social lessons offer opportunities to practice interactions in the classroom and school cafeteria, so your Learner won't miss a beat when they head back to in-person school. Work on small talk, joining a conversation, introducing peers to one another, and even practice recognizing and responding to bullying in a safe, repeatable school environment. Our lessons can help set your Learner up for success in a school setting.

Our team is always working on ways to enhance and improve the Floreo experience. Our Art Director, Meredith Gammon, is known for adding "Easter eggs" to many Floreo scenes -- look closely and you'll see books and grocery store items named after Floreo team members, the Floreo logo hidden in different spots, and tons more!

You may be familiar with our Gestures series of lessons which help the Learner to practice gestural communication in a playground scene. Meredith recently added a fun new character to the Gestures series: an adorable Zebra. Can you find him with your Learner? Let us know where you spot him or if you've noticed any other Easter eggs in any other scenes!

If you haven't already checked it out, we have built a recommendations tool into Floreo. Each time a Coach creates a new Learner, they are asked to fill out a questionnaire about that Learner. The tool takes into consideration things like the Learner's age, verbal level, diagnoses, and more to suggest the lessons that we think are more applicable to your Learner. This can help make it as easy as possible to find the lessons you want to work on with your Learner.

Of course you can always use the new search function or scroll through the entire lesson library to find the lessons that match up with the goals you want to work on with your Learner! Or, look for the "more like this" section or the "sample IEP objectives" that are associated with each leaning card to help you decide.

What is your favorite way to choose lessons for your Learner?

Are you getting into the fall spirit as things start to cool down in many places around the US? If your Learner will be participating in Trick-or-Treating this Halloween, get them prepared for the experience by playing our Trick-or-Treat lesson. Your Learner can practice a routine to understand what to expect when Trick-or-Treating, as well as social skills like remembering to say "Please" and "Thank you" when requesting candy.

To make things extra fun, have your Learner dress up in their favorite costume and have the Coach place a piece of real candy in their hand or bag during the lesson. Floreo character Emma is dressed up in a booooo-ti-ful costume too!

We have been hearing wonderful things about how Floreo has been helpful already as folks settle into this new school year. From using Emotional Regulation lessons as a station in the classroom to working on IEP goals like responding to greetings or joining a conversation, Floreo's lesson library is being heavily used in both clinical and classroom settings.

And, don't forget that Floreo is a great tool for remote learning or telehealth too! Clients and students can continue Floreo use with a Coach in a different location in the event of quarantine or school/clinic closure.
